India uses persisted NSE contracts; other markets are shown only when a real licensed provider is configured. and enriched with live quotes where available. Basis is the future's price minus the underlying's spot value — positive means the contract trades at a premium (contango), negative a discount (backwardation); purely descriptive, not a signal.
